David Friedman & Friends

David Friedman, fabulous composer and music producer, held us spellbound with his songs and stories...and his no-nonsense philosophy at our first meeting of 2003.  David is the wonderful writer of songs such as "You're Already There" and "We Live on Borrowed Time" and at least 61 other songs, as there are 63 songs in his book that he sold to us at a fantastic discount.  He is a favorite in the cabaret world, both as a performer and with performers. If you weren't there, it's too bad, because no amount of praise can capture the wonder and sincerity of his performance.  Or the range.  It's hard to believe that the same person could crewate "My Simple Christmas Wish" and "Listen to My Heart".  Hilarious or uplifting, they are full of very basic wisdom.  Very special mention must be made for the trio working with him: Emily Bindiger, Diane Garisto and Margaret Dorn.  They are simply wonderful.  David has written scores for Disney and produced the albums of Nancy Lamott, Laurie Beechman, Kathie Lee Gifford and others.
